Vevo launches its service in Mexico
Vevo has launched in Mexico, giving it a presence in 14 territories altogether. Mexico is the world's second-largest music video market with Mexican
users having clocked up more than 500 million views on Vevo artist pages
via the company’s YouTube partnership in the last month alone.
With the platform launching in Mexico proper, the territory’s users will
now have access to official music videos via Vevo.com as well as
through mobile apps and connected devices including Apple TV, Xbox
consoles and Samsung Smart TV.
Alejandro Hernandez, most recently Vevo’s US Latin content coordinator,
has been named content programming and label relations manager for Vevo
Mexico. Hernandez reports to Ana Strutt, Vevo’s head of international
programming.
Vevo is available in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada,
France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland,
Spain and United Kingdom through Vevo.com, the mobile web, Mobile/
Tablet and TV Apps (iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle Fire,
Xbox, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon's Fire TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Chromecast) and user embeddable video players
