Embonor obtained a net profit of CLP $13,046 millions during 1Q2013

Coca Cola Embonor, one of the biggest chilean bottlers, with operations in Chile and Bolivia, reached a net profit of CLP $13,046 which represents an increase of 3.6% compared with the same period of last year, according to the information presented to the Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor (Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros - SVS).

The company, in a statement published on it's own website remarked "it's positive performance of the operations in Chile and Bolivia, which both show a significant growth in results, reaching 4.9% of growth in consolidated Net Sales Revenues and 13.3% in Operating Profit".

Checking the consolidated results of the quarter, Embonor's consolidated Volume was 62.9 million unit cases (357million liters), reflecting a growth of 6.0% over the same period of 2012. The Net Sales Revenue grew 4.9% over the first quarter of 2012, reaching CLP $ 105,358million. 

The consolidated Operating Profit grew 13.3% to CLP$ 16,223 million during this first quarter. The consolidated EBITDA for the period was CLP $21,349 million, equivalent to a growth of 14.0% over the  same period of the previous year.

Chile

During the first quarter of 2013, the volume of sales increased 26%, reaching 34.6 million unit cases (196 million liters). Net Sales Revenue amounted to CLP $72,856 million, with a growth of 3.6%over the same period of 2012. On the other hand, the Operating Income increased 8.6% compared to first quarter of prior year, amounting to CLP$ 11,194 million. 

Bolivia

The sales volume grew by 10.4% over the same period of the previous year, reaching 28.3 million unit cases (161 million liters). Net Sales Revenue amounted to CLP $ 32,502 million, with a growth of  8.1% over the first quarter of  2012. As to Operating Profit, it reached CLP$5,029 million.
