Félix de Vicente replaces Pablo Longueira as Minister of Economy

Sebastián Piñera named Felix de Vicente, commercial engineer and now former director of ProChile, as Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, replacing Pablo Longueira, new presidential candidate of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI).


During the ceremony, President Piñera set the goals for the new minister, which includes "watch and work to increase the competitiveness of all sectors of the economy; work to ensure more transparency and make our markets more competitive; monitor and manage the operation of public enterprises, promote science and technology to develop more innovation and entrepreneurship in all areas".
