LINE, the instant messaging app from Japan, has announced that it
reached 400 million registered users, after hitting the 300 million mark
in November last year. Since the launch of the LINE service on June 23, 2011, the app has become into a global communications app that lets users communicate through
voice and video calls as well as stickers and text messages.
Android 4.x is still a leader with various Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean smartphones and tablets accounting for more than 80%. In comparison, Gingerbread is running on 17.8% (down from 19%), Froyo (Android 2.2) on 1.1%, and Honeycomb on just 0.1% devices.
LinkedIn, the
world’s largest professional network on the Internet, today announced it
has surpassed the 5 million member mark in Mexico. Osvaldo Barbosa de Oliveira, managing director, LinkedIn Latin America, made the announcement during a presentation at “GroupM What’s Next” in Mexico City.
According to preliminary information, last June the IMACEC rose 4.2% over June 2012. The seasonally-adjusted series rose 1.0% with respect to the previous month, and 4.6% compared with the same month a year ago. The month came with one less working day than June 2012.
